Sophia Tolli: 2013 Fall Collection

WeddingBlvd cannot get enough of wedding gown inspiration. From look books and Pinterest to designer websites and runway shows, there are so many pretty details to appreciate. We’re loving Sophia Tolli’s Sophia Tolli’s 2013 fall collection: the 21 gowns are so refined and luxurious, all while being different from the others.

“My collection has two distinct feelings: soft romanticism and traditional bridal drama,” says Tolli. “My signature style will always be gowns with an exceptional fit and cut.”
The stylish gowns are “both classic and couture designs,” such as A-line dresses, halters and slim skirts as well as strapless ball gowns. Tolli’s signature gowns feature draping and corset backs, which gives brides a perfect fit.
The majority of the fall 2013 gowns feature strapless gowns while a few others are tank style. These body-hugging styles show off a bride’s form. Some gowns like Marigold (a taffeta ball gown) and Peony (an A-line style) and Juniper (an organza mermaid style) are fitted in the waist and have sleek, yet flowing skirts.
One show-stopper to see: the Poppy gown which is an A-line dress featuring lace appliqués as well as a scooped strapless neckline. It also has hand beading and diamond tulle, as well as a dropped waist bodice with a full skirt. The finishing touch? A corset back closure and removable straps!
Another must-see gown is known as the Endine. This style showcases a slim A-line in angel chiffon. It has a strapless sweetheart neckline, which is trimmed with crystal hand-beaded tulle. There’s a waterfall skirt and a bodice, which is “asymmetrically draped.” The gown also closes with a corset back closure.
We adore the Lilac taffeta mermaid gown, which has a draped bodice and a hand-beaded and embroidered neckline. This style is so stunning and sleek!
No wonder Tolli’s designs are so impressive. The designer’s seamstress story started in her early teens when she was influenced by her talented aunt dressmaker who handmade most of the teen’s clothes. By making custom prom, bridesmaid’s dresses and bridal gowns as a teen, Tolli solidified her “made-to-measure” fashion experience.
